About The Event

This half-day training (10.30-14.30) will be conducted by Kate Gibson and Yasmine Chubin who have appeared before the ICTY, ICTR, ECCC, SCSL and ICC, and are currently training defence counsel appearing in genocide cases before the Rwandan domestic courts. Focusing on how to find, collect, and present the "best evidence" in international criminal trials, the training will cover a broad range of topics including investigations, selection of evidence, the practical steps to calling witnesses, and how to effectively introduce evidence in international criminal trials. The format of the training will be a mix of interactive lectures and practical exercises.
