ADC Sends Open Letter to UN Security Council

On 26 May 2017, the ADC sent a letter to all members of the UN Security Council requesting strong action be taken with regards to the continued detention of MICT Judge Akay by the Republic of Turkey. He has been detained since September 2016, and despite the UN Office of Legal Affairs asserting his diplomatic immunity Turkey has refused to release Judge Akay. This is delaying the finality of proceedings for the case to which he is assigned to the Appeals Chamber. The ADC-ICTY letter is available here.
