ADC-ICT Issues Statement on the Passing of Slobodan Praljak

On 30 November 2017, the ADC-ICT issued a Statement on the Passing of Slobodan Praljak. The ADC-ICT regrets the passing of Mr. Slobodan Praljak and the unfortunate event that occurred at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on 29 November 2017. During the reading of the summary of the Appeals Judgement in the Prlić et al case, Mr. Praljak, one of the six appellants, apparently drank a liquid that may have resulted in his death. The ADC-ICT fully supports a transparent, independent and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The President of the ICTY has asked the Dutch authorities to conduct an investigation which is currently ongoing. The ADC-ICT wishes to express its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Praljak. The full Statement is available here.
